a fuzzy anp decision model for strategic vendor selection
Authors
abstract
in this paper a fuzzy analytical network process model for supporting the vendor selection process in strategic situations is suggested. first, the vendor evaluation problem is putting together by use of the multi-criteria decision-making (mcdm) approach and a five-step hybrid process, which incorporates the technique of fuzzy analytical network process. then the modified topsis (technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution) is used to rank vendors in terms of their overall performances. the newly developed anp will be used to compute the relative weights of the multiple evaluation criteria, which are obtained from the nominal group technique (ngt) with interdependences. to show the ability of the suggested model a case study is proposed. this case study shows how this approach can be used for the strategic vendor selection problem.

A hybrid ANP model in fuzzy environments for strategic alliance partner selection in the airline industry
Strategic airline alliances are an increasingly common strategy for enhancing airline competitiveness and satisfying customer needs, especially in an era characterized by blurring industry boundaries, fastchanging technologies, and global integration. Airlines have been very active in utilizing this form of strategic development. However, the selection of a suitable partner for a strategic alli...

Proposed in this study is a hybrid model for supporting the vendor selection process in new task situations. First, the vendor evaluation problem is formulated by the combined use of the multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach and a proposed five-step hybrid process, which incorporates the technique of an analytic network process (ANP). Then the modified TOPSIS (technique for order perfo...

The objective of this article is to develop an empirically based framework for formulating and selecting a vendor in supply chain. This study applies the fuzzy set theory to evaluate the vendor selection decision. Applying Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in obtaining criteria weights and applied Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Idea Solution (TOPSIS) for obtaining final ranking...
full textA decision making model for outsourcing of manufacturing activities by ANP and DEMATEL under fuzzy environment
Decision making about outsourcing or insourcing of manufacturing activities is a type of multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) problem, which requires considering quantitative and qualitative factors as evaluation criteria simultaneously. Therefore, a suitable MCDM method can be useful in this area as it can consider the interactions among quantitative and qualitative criteria. The analytic...
full textA Fuzzy Based Mathematical Model for Vendor Selection and Procurement Planning with Multiple Discounts in the Presence of Supply Uncertainty
Supplier selection and material procurement planning are the most important issues in supply chain management. This decision is complicated when the buyers face with discount price schemes. In real situation, each supplier may apply different methods such as different types of discount schedules and various types of payment in order to increase market share. In this situation, buyers try to sel...
